Welcome to the new releases page, where you will find the 10 newest items put in the gaming section of the site. Keep in mind this page is all-inclusive of the gaming section, so you'll find rock band samples, other samples, and demos if those things are the newest things posted. Also keep in mind that all samples shown here are also available on their respective pages. Notes here will not differ from those seen on those other pages either, just in case you were wondering. And now, here are the newest things to hit the gaming section of the site.

Fight Night Champion: Chamion Mode Sample 1

This is a sample of, so far, the best boxing game ever created. It's got a fantastic story, phenominal acting, great commentary, and fun gameplay. This sample demonstrates champion mode, which is in effect its storymode. Now, I recorded this at a time when I felt rushed, so I attempted to rush through some of these fights. It costs me. I also fail to get up the first time I have to play the knockdown minigame, which is the first thing that happens in the sample as sort of a tutorial to show you what you'll have to do. Still, this sample is a decent demonstration. I will post a sample demonstrating more of the story if there are requests for one.

This sample I'm posting for 2 reasons. Firstly, because I wanted to post a better example of a blind person playing this game. A few settings have been changed from the first posting to the second, and because of those, things are a bit more manageable. Secondly, I received a response following the posting of the first full game, a positive one, no less, and so thought I'd post another for that reason as well. Enjoy!

MLB11: The Show: Road to the Show Sample

Yes, another MLB11 sample. This will be the last one, unless for some reason someone wants another full game or something. This sample, though, demonstrates the MLB Road to the Show mode which, while requiring sighted assistance to set up, is quite playable afterward. In this mode, you create a single player, and follow their career from minor leagues to majors. Notice, whilst you listen to this, that MLB11 is particularly good with names.

Mortal Kombat 9: Playing as Freddy Krueger: Arcade Sample

This sample comes to us from Ben, who some of you know as the Destroyer. The poster of those funky, keyboard-laced Rock Band samples, and more recently, Guitar Hero 6. This his an arcade playthrough as Freddy Krueger, one of MK9's DLC offerings. It's bloody, violent, and marked with more than a few Freddy deaths. But hey, that's actually pretty normal for him, isn't it?

Space Channel 5: Story Mode Playthrough

This sample is one of a good old game called Space Channel 5. It was on the PS2 and, I believe, the Dreamcast back in its time, and is quite a funn little game if you're a blind person. Music rhythm is the genre, and those have always treated us well. This sample is presented by Soren Jensen, and fair warning, it appears to contain the entire story mode of that game, which is actually amazingly short. I could be wrong, as I don't have this particular game myself, but he seems to restart the same exact story at the end of the sample, so I assume I've got this right. Of course, everyone knows what making assumptions is good for... Ah well. Enjoy, and grab Space Channel 5 part 2, which is available on Xbox live right now.

MLB 11: The Show: Small Sample

If you like baseball, you'll love this game. The MLB series has been called the greatest baseball simulation for years, and this game proves that it still is. Here is a small sample of the game, just over an inning of play, but I feel it's enough to appreciate some of its nuances.

MLB 11: The Show: Full Game: Twins Vs. Yankies: Playing as Twins

Now here's what I really, really want you to listen to. The small sample is there for those who don't have the time to take this in, but this, folks, is a full and complete game of baseball. Nine innings of me playing as the Minnesota Twins against the New York Yankies. Yeah, let's not miss that bit. This sample comes from me. Me, I tell you! In any case, this shows off a ton more, like how there are stadium-specific details, (listen to what happens when the Yankies hit a home run or get a strikeout, for instance), how the commentary will give you even the little bits of information they don't necessarily have to, and so on. There's so much here, I can't talk about it all, but I'll tell you this. If you're at all into baseball, this sample will make you feel the intensity as if you were watching a real baseball game. I strongly urge you to check it out.

You Don't Know Jack: PS3 Sample

Like trivia? Like jokes? No seriously, do you really like jokes? Jokes that cover all subjects, and span almost all possible levels of unclenliness? Well, if the answer is yes, I present you with You Don't Know Jack, a game that seamlessly combines both, and is almost, almost, almost completely accessible to the blind. All but the Jack Attack, which while unfortunate, is an acceptible loss in my opinion. This is a sample of one game of the Playstation 3 version, which is exactly like the Xbox 360 version in every way. It should be noted that the PC version of this game is somewhat crippled compared to the console versions, though.

You Don't Know Jack: IOS version

Yep, this lovely little trivia game came out for everything, including IOS devices. My first impression of the IOS version was unfavorable, and I thought it was near unplayable. However, once I got educated as to how things were laid out, I found it to be just about as playable as the other versions of the game. Occasionally you might miss your mark wen trying to press in the right spot, which I do once in this sample, but other than that it's almost the complete You Don't Know Jack experience, lacking just Wrong Answers of the Game and their associated prizes as well as multiplayer. It's highly enjoyable, and cheap, so if you have one such device, i highly recommend giving this game a try.

Mortal Kombat 9: Yohandy versus CPU: Arcade playing as Scorpion: Max difficulty

Folks, Yohandy is really, really, really good at this game. Don't believe me? Let him prove it to you as he stomps his way... Er, that is, burns his way through the Mortal Kombat roster with everyone's favorite Spectre... Unless of course you're a Mass Effect fan, but that's entirely different, so... Anyway, yeah. This is awesome, so listen to it. That's final.
