Audio Samples

Welcome to the audio samples section. You clicked this link because you want to hear some games, and the only talking you want to hear is to be a part of those games. And so, without further adue, the samples.

GTA: San Andreas

This is a little audio sample of the very popular, yet very contraversial Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This little clip will give you an idea of how it sounds to jack a few cars, cruise while listening to the radio, and of course, atempt to escape the law. Warning: This clip is not suitable for the younger audience, as it contains foul language. This clip is also not suitable for those who actually have morals. Finally, this file is in .ogg format, which means you’ll need a player like Winamp to hear it. Ogg files can also be played in Sound Forge and Goldwave if you use those. Enjoy! But wait, there’s more. You can now get an MP3 version of this file by clicking here.

Madden 2007:

This here’s a longer sample of the very popular football game by EA Sports, Madden 2007. Like the GTA file, it was recorded by a friend of mine who goes by Orin. This little sample takes you through about a quarter and a half of play, and is a very good demonstration of what the game sounds like. Enjoy!

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon:

That’s right. Already, I have a gameplay sample of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for you. This one was also done by Orin. There are a few strange skips in it, but it’s more than enough to show you all that the game is indeed playable. Why, there’s even one moment where Orin is sent into a deathtrap, but we won’t make fun of him for that, now will we?

More Mortal Kombat: Armageddon:

Yes, that’s right. I got another gameplay recording of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. This one’s done by Yohandy, the fella who was ggracious enough to allow me to post his Deception review. Yohandy takes you through an entire set of arcade battles as Scorpion, and demonstrates the new fatality system several times. He also cunningly leaves out Scorpion’s character ending after he beats the game, so as not to spoil it for anybody. Wahoo!

Still More Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

Oh lookie! A third, and very long, sample of MK Armageddon for your listening pleasure. This one has everything from fatalities to people getting run over by subway trains! And who doesn’t want to hear that? Huh?

Tekken: Dark Resurrection:

This here’s a little gameplay sample I recorded myself. I did it for two reasons. First, it demonstrates what Tekken: Dark Resurrection sounds like. Second, it demonstrates the game-sharing feature of the PSP. In this recording, I do not have the Tekken disc in my PSP. Rather, my girlfriend has it, and we are playing against each other through game sharing. Now I will warn you that there are some pretty long pauses in this file, as I wanted to demonstrate the length of time it takes for data to be transferred and cached on a PSP’s memory stick when one is using game-sharing and not the disc. So bare with me. Oh, and, uh, my girlfriend’s really good at this game, so I lose a lot. Oh well.

Madden 2007 Again:

Yep, we’ve got another gameplay recording of madden 2007, and this one’s even better! Why, you ask? Because it’s not just a quarter and a half of play. No no, it’s a full game! Woe! Check it out, and enjoy!

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (PC):

This is a small gameplay recording of one of the realtime LOTR games which feature sounds and character voices from the movies. This demonstrates one level pretty well. During this level, you play as Gandalf, the well-known wizard of great power. You’ll hear some orc-killing, some tower-toppling, and sadly, some Gandalf-dying. Enjoy!

Wii Sports:

What? He’s got a sample of one of the newly arrived consoles already? Yes indeedy, I certainly do. This little sample is just that, a sample of what Wii sports sounds like. It is in mono, as the person who recorded it doesn’t have the equipment to hook his Wii up to his PC. Still, it is an accurate demonstration. One may not think so just from hearing it, but I think that, when hearing this sample of Wii baseball, Wii Tennis, Wii bowling, Wii Golf, and Wii Boxing, one should consider that almost nothing happening in these games is being done with buttons. It is in fact being done by moving the Wiimote, the Wii’s motion sensitive controller, and the nunbhuck controller, which is also motion sensitive to a smaller degree. The nunchuck is only used in Wii boxing so far as I’m aware, but regardless, this demonstration is pretty impressive if you take all that into account. So enjoy this sample of the Nintendo Wii!

Urban Reign:

Ok, folks, this is the first of two samples of Urban Reign. I don’t know much about this game, but it sounds like one we blind folk may wanna pick up. You be the judge.

Urban Reign Sample 2:

As I said, here’s the other sample of Urban Reign. This one’s shorter, but if you liked the first one, well, there ya go. Enjoy. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the review up in the review section.

Rise to Honour sample 1:

So here’s how this one goes. This is a sample of Rise to Honour recorded by my good buddy Clement. This first takes place in a construction zone. Now, he does a pretty decent job fending off the foes that come at him using hand to hand combat, but then he learns a most valuable lesson. When a martial artist like himself is shot at by a helicopter, all the punches and kicks in the world aren’t going to save him from the hail of bullets coming his way. Unless, of course, he was Neo. But he’s not, and you’ll see just how un-neolike he is at the end of this particular sample. Not to bash him too much though, I have this game now and I can’t get past this part either. Neh. Enjoy!

Rise to Honour Sample 2:

So this one takes place in a restaurant. And, like the first sample, a valuable lesson is taught at the end. Sometimes, you meet someone whose fighting skills are superior to your own. When that happens, expect the smack to be layed down upon you with brutal force. Enjoy!

Soul Calibur 2:

Ya win some, ya lose some, and this game sample shows a little bit of both. Clement comes back showing us a full playthrough of Arcade Mode, and even demonstrates a boss fight. And if that’s not enough, there are even occasional email and instant messaging noises! What more could you ask for in a gameplay sample?

The Bouncer:

This here’s a sample done by good friend and primary head-buster-inner, Clement. This demonstrates some of the fighting in the Bouncer, a game created by Square Enix for the PS2. What gets me is… This is one of those interactive movie-style games and… he… skipped the cut scenes? Ah well, perhaps we’ll get another sample later that will show us both. But for now, you get to hear some basic butt booting, so enjoy that. Despite its not-so-good fighting sound effects, it is a good game. Trust me. Short, but good.

The Bouncer Again!

Ask, and you shall receive. That’s what I thought as I downloaded this latest sample from our resident brain-basher, Clement. Of course I expected it to take days, but now, he had one all ready to go. That’s Clement for ya. When he’s not bashing in people’s brains, he’s stealing thoughts from mine. At any rate, this longer sample of the bouncer shows you some cut scenes, and some more fighting. And if that’s not enough, it shows you cut scenes and fighting in both English and Japanese! Woe! This game’s multilingual! Anyway, enjoy this one, and know that when Clement rearranged the faces of his opponents, he was thinking of you. Yep, that’s right. You.

Tekken 5:

Our resident Clock Cleaner Clement is back with yet another fist-flinging rib-breaking skull-smashing example of pure and senseless violence. This here’s just a sample of Tekken 5, and it takes you through the complete storyline of one of the game’s characters. Of course, it doesn’t really help that all the dialogue you hear in these story sequences is in Chinese and Japanese. Unless you can understand those languages, in which case, you’ll do just fine. At any rate, this sample serves to let me know that I will never take Clement on in Tekken. Never.

Urban Reign yet again!

Yep, another Urban Reign sample for all you carnage-lovers out there. This one, also brought to you by Clement, lead fist-flinger, body-basher, and punk pummeller, gives you more of the wholesome fighting action you’ve come to know and love from Urban Reign. It also gives you that sense of nostalgia as, once again sadly, Clement gets just a little beat up, a little powerbombed, a little tossed around. But hey, all in the name of fun, right? Right? Enjoy.

Fight Night: Round 3

Alright, ladies and germs, this here’s another type of beating. A boxing beating. What you’re hearing here is the PS2 version of the game. I mention this because, remarkably, both the PSP and PS3 versions have completely different audio than this one. EA, why do you do the things you do? I will never know.

The Warriors:

Right here’s a beat-em-up game I don’t know much about. It’s for the PSP and, from what I hear, PS2 as well, but what you’re hearing here is the PSP version. It’s done by a buddy of mine named Soren, who has contributed another sample in the past. So listen, listen to the pain. Heheh. A little note though, silences were preserved to give an idea of loading time, and certain areas of the game during which Soren had a bit of trouble were also preserved to show that this game isn’t a hundred percent playable.

The Bouncer: Versus Mode

Nine samples. Nine. Folks, that is how many samples Clement has submitted as of this very sample. But that’s not the only earth-shattering thing here. There is a major difference between this, and all the previous samples Clement has submitted to me. That difference, is this. In this sample, Clement actually does well! Ooooo, cheapshot. Sorry Clement, I’s just playin. Anyway, this is a sample demonstrating, as the link suggests, the Bouncer’s versus mode feature. Basically it allows you to pit the heros and the bosses of the game against one another in a horrific battle to the death, which somehow lasts three rounds. Heheh. Clement is playing as Volt in this particular work of art, and, well, I’ll let you listen. Enjoy!

Dynasty Warriors 5:

So, ya know that Clement guy? Well, this here is his tenth sample. Tenth, folks. Somebody’s really gotta outdo this guy. Anyway, this is a sample of Dynasty Warriors 5, the latest in a series of hack and slash Chinese war type games where your basic objective is to beat the living crap out of anyone who gets in your way. This is true, even when the objective you are given does not actually say, “Beat the living crap out of anyone who gets in your way.” Let me give you an example. If, for instance, the objective of your mission was to save a band of children from the army of evil nomads bent on world domination, how would you do it? By beating the living crap out of anyone who gets in your way. If your mission was to procure food for your people, that their plates may be full and their days happy, how would you do it? By beating the crap out of anyone who gets in your way, naturally. That’s just how this game works. In this sample, Clement demonstrates a fair bit of that, including some special attacks. However, though he does not die during this particular slaughterfest, he gets hit more times than a baseball in an extra-innings game. And let me tell ya, some of those hits are home runs. Enjoy!

Dynasty Warriors 5… Again:

So this, uh, makes eleven. Eleven samples. I say again, somebody simply has to outdo this guy. And speaking of outdoing him, the enemies in this sample do it rather well. This is a sample of Dynasty Warriors 5’s Rampage mode. The basic premis is simple. Kill as many dudes as you can before you are either victorious in your efforts to demolish the entire universe, or you cannot kill anymore. As far as this sample goes, if this were some sort of test of Clement’s mad warrior skills, if he needed to do well in order to get into the army, he’d probably get a, uh, a C. Oh, but not a C in the traditional grading sense. A C for Catastrophy. The man dies a wapping three times during this sample, and although that is hardly a record for our resident Kurt Kobain, it is certainly a substantial number in this case. I mean, come on! You’re a super powered warrior who can take about fifty slashes with a sword and still participate in the olympics, and can kill over thirty people with one swipe, and you can’t wipe out an entire army? What is wrong with you? And furthermore, why haven’t you called me out for taking all these shots at you? Oh wait, I know. You’re out of continues, and you don’t have any more lives. Heheh. Seriously though, even your connector cable was sick and tired of listening to you die. There is a point in this sample where it seems to short out for a bit. Can’t say I blame it. Heheeh. No no, in all seriousness, it’s a good one. Clement does excellent work with these samples, and I do hope he continues to provide them. And of course, I hope he doesn’t come after me with that sword. Ouch.

Fable: The Lost Chapters

This here’s a good example of the combat found in the popular roleplaying game known as Fable. It was contributed by someone who, ironically enough, is not Clement. No no, this one came from a guy named Mathew Menard. Here’s what you can expect. The complete, total, utter, undenyable, unquestionable destruction of several gate guards. And seriously, is there any of you on this page who doesn’t absolutely love the destruction of gate guards? I know i do. A couple things should be noted, however. FIrst, Mat is not totally blind. This game isn’t entirely playable to the totally blind, though certain parts of it can be gotten through with patience. Secondly, this is the PC version of the game, which contains more content than the Xbox version. So yeah, there’s actually a chance that what you hear in this sample isn’t even IN the Xbox version. Freaky, eh? And finally, there is a little bit of silence at the beginning and end of this recording, but I left them there, as usual, to demonstrate load times and whatnot. Enjoy!

Onimusha: Blade Warriors

This is another game I don’t actually know a lot about. But that’s not what’s important. What’s important is this. Clement, my friends, is back. That’s right, slashing his way through any possibility anybody has to post more samples than he, Clement created this sample as well. And, holding true to all his nicknames, he pummelled punks, he bashed brains, he, well, he died a few times. But that’s alright, because that’s exactly what we love to hear. Listen to this example of what Clement tells me is an entirely, absolutely, 100 percent playable game. Oh, and do enjoy. If you don’t, well, you’ve seen what Clement can do. Er, besides die, that is.

Coliseum: Road to Freedom

This is a sample, also submitted by Clement, with, well, I’ve gotta be honest, some of the worst audio ever. I mean, woe. Seriously. Bad. Not good. Far worse than the anime sword clashes of Dynasty warriors, which you can get used to. Just… awful. And the voice-acting’s not good either. But hey, it’s a playable game, so… Well, here it is. Enjoy it… or something.

Fight Night Round 3: PS2

This is another sample of the very good, very popular boxing game, Fight Night: Round 3. This particular sample demonstrates a mode that, believe it or not, I have personally never played. It has a neat-sounding name, too. ESPN connect, or something like that. Essentially it allows the player to recreate in the game fights that occured in reality, complete with explanations of the rivalries during the fight. And, if that’s not enough, there’s even a demonstration on how to get yourself disqualified, and how to get a very very very very very quick knockout. If you’re, ya know, that type of person. Finally, you may’ve noticed the ogg format of this file. I will convert it upon request. Enjoy!

Some more Fight Night Round 3

Yep, here’s some more boxing for your listening enjoyment. Same game mode as before, same fights in fact, but hey, it’s more boxing, and it’s here. Enjoy!

Tekken 3

This here’s a sample of the old-school, but still horrendously fun Tekken 3, featuring a playthrough of most of the arcade mode with two of my personal favorite characters, Kuma, and a cute little dinosaur-like dude named Gone. Am I sure of the spelling of either? No. Was this sample made by me? No. But I sure am talking it up a lot, so, like, listen to it! Please?

Virtua Fighter 4

Here’s a sample of a fighting game I don’t know much about, to be brutally and perfectly honest. Virtua Fighter Four. A game renouned for its graphics. These fights seem decent as well, but what truly makes this game stand out to a blind person is the talking main menu. Enjoy that, as well as the fighting.

MLB07 The Show for PSP: Cincinnati Reds versus Toronto Bluejays

You’ve already heard good demos of MLB06 on this site done by Jay Pellis, but you haven’t yet heard MLB07 for the PSP. No, it’s not the most current edition of MLB, but it’s the only one I have for PSP. What I give you here is called a sample because I say nothing. It is simply an entire, full, uncut game. Nine innings of perfectly enjoyable baseball. So, enjoy it, I say. Perfectly.

Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles

This is a sample of the PSP’s Castlevania game given to me by Soren Jensen. If you ever wanted to hear sword-swinging, creaturee-crushing, monster-roaring, and occasional player-dying action, as well as some guy saying “What?” this is the sample for you. Enjoy, as this game seems pretty playable.

First Playstation 3 Sample: MLB08!

Like, holy cow, ladies and gentlemen. This is, like, totally the first ever sample of a Playstation 3 game, and it’s right here, right now. This is MLB08: The Show. I’d like to point out some things about this one, as once again I do not speak. The sound you hear in the very beginning is the PS3’s startup sound, for those who haven’t heard it. The music that follows isn’t actually the game, it’s the little audio bit that plays when the game is highlighted in the PS3’s main menu. Yep, just like the PSP. The chime after that is the sound played when the game is selected. Secondly, for those who have heard the sample of MLB07, the sounds in the PSP and PS2 versions of MLB08 are the same, but I’d like you to notice the slightly different audio in the PS3 version. Little things. Different bat swinging sounds, different bat connection sounds, but all these little things together combine to ultimately add to the game. At least, in my opinion. They make it feel more real, and less arcade-style. And lastly, I want to apologize for the slight distortion. That was me trying to overdo it for this first PS3 demo, and turning up my line-in volume too high. I don’t feel it detracts from the sample though, as it is very slight. Enjoy!

300: March to Glory

Oh look, it’s our very good friend Clement again, sending us another head-crunching, blood-spurting, sword-swinging sample. This one’s really really good though. This game, as far as I understand it, is for the PSP, and the audio is pretty fantastic. This, to me, seems to be the go-to hack and slash game for all you PSP people out there. So, with that in mind, listen to this gorefest, and enjoy. Oh, and Clement only dies once.

Onimusha 3: Demon Seige

There was a time, long long ago, when I condemned the Onimusha series. No longer. This is by far the best example of the series I’ve heard, and it’s done, once again, by everyone’s favorite sword-slashing, head-crunching, bloodletting guy, Clement. And ya know what else? I don’t think he dies in this one at all! No, seriously! Check this one out. The sword sounds are a little anime-like, but all in all, it seems to be a pretty decent game.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.

Remember Clement? Well, he’s back with another death-filled sample, this one of Onimusha 2. In this sample, he plays as a character named Jubei, who seems to possess a swords and spear. Interestingly enough, the thing that sounds like a sword? Yeah, that’s the spear. The anime-sounding thing, now that’s the sword. Ah, good old Onimusha.

Onimusha 2 with Oyu

Here’s another sampling of Onimusha 2, this one using the Oyu character. And of course, in typical contradicting-themselves fashion, her sword sounds just a bit more like a sword. Hmm.

Soul Calibur 2 Playthrough as Mitsurugi

This is an entire playthrough of Soul Calibur 2’s arcade mode done with the very popular Mitsurugi character. It is, of course, done by Clement, and to my glee, he seems to have returned to his old ways. He dies not once, but several times! In all seriousness though, it’s a good sample. Clement cleverly cuts out the character ending to avoid spoilers, which is nice. So listen, and enjoy the carnage.

Urban Reign: Long Sample: 30 Missions

This sample was sent in by Soren, and shows off very nearly a third of the ENTIRE game. Thirty of Urban Reign’s 100 missions are showcased here, and there’s enough pummelling, carnage, violence, and vailed threats to please just about anyone. Check this one out. You won’t be disappointed. Only a few technical issues mar this sample, but nothing too major.

Urban Reign; Multiplayer Sample with Brad Hawk

In this, the millionth Urban Reign sample on the site, Clement takes the roll of Brad Hawk, and bashes some unimportant, foolish, annoying nobodies’ skulls in with fists, fury, and weapons galore! It’s a fightfest that’s just gotta be heard. Check it out! Oh, and he doesn’t lose! At all!

Tekken 5 sample with Heihachi

But he does lose in this one. A lot. I mean, woe. Like, everyone gets a piece of him. Other than an additional sample of Tekken 5, which is of course always nice, this sample shows us that the computer-controlled character in these games isn’t always a total pushover. Fight on, Clement. You’ll get ’em someday.

Soul Calibur 2, starring Heihachi

What? Heihachi? I daresay, what’s the guy from the last sample doing in this one? Why, the same exact thing of course. Getting absolutely and utterly owned! No no, I kid. Clement does a little better with this edition of Heihachi, who only appeared in the Playstation version of this game. He still gets rocked around the perverbial Christmas tree a little bit, but he does alright. Check out this most special of characters in this most special of samples.

Soul Blade with Mitsurugi

Ah yes, folks. It’s time to look back a bit at the classics. No, I’m not talking about the Atari, or even the Sega Genisus. No no, I’m talking about the Playstation 1. What? Don’t tell me that’s not a classic. I’m young, alright? Oy. Anyway, this game, Soul Blade, is the precursor to the entire Soul Calibur series. Check out them roots, and listen to some more slaughtering while you’re at it.

Barbarian

Clement’s back with one of those rare treats. That’s right, the ones where death is not an option. This game is called Barbarian, and is actually weapon-based, though you wouldn’t think so by the sounds of it. Clement plays as Dagan, a barbarian with a sword and battle axe, and proceeds to stomp some unfortunate folk who just had to defy him. Enjoy.

Rise to Honour: Chapters 20 something to 20 something

Yeah. Seriously, that’s what he told me. This little sample demonstrates what Jet Lee would be like horrifyingly drunk, and is a passable course on how to punch, and kick, at absolutely nothing. Of course, hits are scored, but it is a rare thing, and something to cheer for when it does actually occur. Though I can’t say Clement dies in this sample, the taunting he receives from those he fights is enough to make one think that they too believe he is drunk. Or just easy prey. Enjoy.

Rise to Honour: Chapters 7 through 11

Yes, in Clement’s continuing efforts to throw us all off, he decided it’d be fantastic to make his next sample much earlier in the game. Of course, it could be argued that he did this so storylines would be preserved, but… Nah. I say it’s all a plot. Anyway, besides Jet Lee’s usual drunkenness, this sample demonstrates a bit of the shooting aspect of the game as well, during which I happily proclaim, he’s still drunk. Still, he manages to take out some folks, so I guess it’s not so bad. For more on Rise to Honour, do check out our demos section, where you can hear Clement discuss the game in much greater detail. Also note that you can’t actually get drunk in the game. I was simply making fun of Clement missing. A lot. But it’s all in good fun, right Clement? Right?

Urban Reign yet again

This sample of Urban Reign was submitted by a gentleman from the UK named Ben. Ben shows us a portion of the game a little way in, beginning with the battle with Jake. While this sample demonstrates more of the fighting we’ve come to love so much, I almost wonder if the difficulty level is something slightly higher than the others, as the NPC characters really show their stuff in this one. And, to top it all off, it’s even got time stamps, courtesy of Jaws for Windows!

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith

Well, I can’t deny that this game sounds pretty awesome. It even seems to use the cast from the films. And this part of it at least, seems absolutely accessible. There is, however, no guarantee either way as to whether the rest of the game is as playable. This sample was also submitted by Ben, and demonstrates a long, dialogue-filled Lightsaber battle with Obi Won Kanobi. Enjoy the sparky goodness!

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Versus Mode

Well, what can I say? More and more, this game is starting to look entirely playable. This sample demonstrates several fights with several people, and even shows us that some people, if allowed to face each other, have specific dialogue with each other even in this mode. Also, can someone say unlockable characters? Old Obi Wan, for instance? Woe. Scary. It sounds viciously fun, though. Definitely check this one out.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: More Mission Samples

Ben returns with another sample of Revenge of the Sith. This time, he shows off two bonus missions, including… What? The fabled fight between Obi Won and Darth Vader on the Deathstar, complete with video clips? Woe! Not to mention a mission as Yoda, and the fight with Count Dooku. Enjoy!

What follows are several more samples of this same Star Wars game, each providing another look into what seems to be a very well-done project. However, these samples also demonstrate that, unfortunately, the game is not, in fact, entirely playable. Check them out.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Mission 3 Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Mission 13 Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Mission 15 Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Mission 15 Again Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: Mission 1 Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Clement plays as Goku in this single fight from this, perhaps the most advanced DBZ game. And he sent me one where he doesn’t die! Coincidence?

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams: English Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams: Japanese

The preceeding two samples, given to us once again by Clement, are both of the exact same area in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. What this truly is is a sample of voice acting, and the differences that can appear. This game sports both a Japanese and English voice track, and Clement endeavors to show us all which one he thinks is better.

Onimusha: Warlords

*sigh* I had to do it. Clement made me. Alright, here goes. Folks, this game is bordering right on the very edge of absolutely horrible. You’ll get the lighter treatment of horrible first with horrible sound effects, and horrible, digital music mixed with passable Japanese voice acting, but then, you’ll get a taste of the same area. Horrible sound effects and horrible, digital music combined with absolutely horrible English voice acting to make a totally and completely horrible experience. Horrible, isn’t it? But it’s at least a little playable, though the other Onimusha games are moreso as far as I understand it. So… check it out… if you’re in a horrible kind of mood.

Onimusha 2: Story

This is a sample in a very very loose sense, I admit. Clement shows us what I believe is the beginning of Onimusha 2, which by the way has far far far better audio, and though he demonstrates the violent, violent killing of a few beings, this is primarily a teaser. Those few beings, though, are what keeps this sample on the edge of samplitude. Really walkin the line there, buddy.

Onimusha: Blade Warriors: Sample 2

In this breathtaking, action-packed sample, Clement plays as Megaman. Yes, you read it right. There’s not a problem with your eyes, ears, or whatever sensory appendages you may or may not be using to read this text. Just in case you haven’t checked out Clement’s demo of this fine game, Megaman happens to be a guest character. A bit weird, perhaps, but, well, there he is. So enjoy the megamanny goodness as some smack is firmly layed down.

Rival Schools

This is a sample of an old Capcom fighting game for the PS1. It runs in a kind of Street Fighter Alfa vein, and… Wait. What’s this? There’s a Streetfighter character in it? Now that’s silly. Capcom would never do a crazy crossover like that… Would they? Oh, and extra brownie points to the one who can figure out which Street Fighter character is used. He, she, or it, is heard in the sample, so pay attention.

Onimusha 3: Sample 2

More Onimusha 3 craziness for ya! Really, need I say more? Clement, swords, death… It’s business as usual around here.

Onimusha 3: Sample 3

And here’s even more! Does Clement ever calm down? Well, considering I’m posting these samples about two weeks late, uh, yeah, actually.

Kengo: Master of Bushido

So here’s a crazy little game. From what I’ve heard from Clement, you train as a Samurai, and even get to choose a little bit of how you train. This will, in the end, affect your character’s performance. He could be slow and strong, or fast and lethal, or anything in between. The game’s audio isn’t spectacular, (everyone’s voice seems to have a freaky reverb effect on it when they get hit), but overall, it seems semiinteresting. Enjoy.

Untold Legends: Warrior’s Code

Folks, this game is sweet. If you have a PSP, I highly recommend it. Have I played it? No. But this sample sounds great for one, and Soren, the guy who submitted it, tells me that he hasn’t yet run across an unplayable portion. An RPG we can play? Ooooooooooo.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams: Sample 2

What? More Onimusha? Yes, yes indeed. Tis a good series, and Clement demonstrates that all over again as he hacks and slashes through countless enemies. But what’s this? He’s not alone? Intriguing. Check it out, yall.

Dead Or Alive 2: Hardcore

In this sample of the popular fighting franchise, Clement finds a balance at last. One between winning, and losing. He plays as Tina, and he rocks some worlds, and gets rocked in return. Check it out.

Street Fighter: EX 3

The team of Garuda and Guile take on a slew of enemies in this Clementified sample. What does Clementified mean? Just that you can expect the same level of dying as usual. But much like the DOA sample, there is some winning as well.

Samurai Showdown IV: Amokusa’s Revenge

Ah, Samurais. There is always room for more of them in this crazy world, and Clement brings us some. He plays as a character called Haomaru, and does a pretty solid amount of slaughtering. This game’s sounds aren’t spectacular, but it’s not too hard to figure out what’s going on.

Samurai Showdown V

And this is the next iteration in the series, Samurai Showdown V. Apparently Haomaru is a mainstay, as Clement plays as him once again. This time, however, the outcome is much, much different. Clement, well… He pretty much gets owned for the whole sample. But then, we never can have too much of that, now can we?

WWF Attitude: Sample 1

Ben’s back with attitude! No, literally! Ben demonstrates this clasic wrestling game for the PS1 and N64. He starts one match in this sample, then exits and chooses new characters, so I will say that the primary character he plays as in this one is Owen Heart. As a side note, this older game has better commentary than any of the newer wrestling games out there. Sad, really.

WWF Attitude: Sample 2

Another sample from Ben. In this one, he plays as a created character, who just happens to have the voice of Stone Cold Steve Austin, and takes on Hardcore Legend Mick Foley, who just happens not to be in the WWE anymore. Oh, the tangled web… and all that.

Mortal Kombat: Deception: Scorpion and Baraka Playthrough

This sample is, to say the least, unique. It is more than simply the game, you see. Ben throws some music of his own in between fights, and for some reason that I don’t understand in the slightest, takes a moment to beat on a nonexistent player 2. Still, it serves its purpose, and lets you hear a little more of the carnage that is Mortal Kombat.

Soul Calibur 3: Boss Fights as Sigfried

Another sample from Ben, this demonstrates just how totally awesome Sigfried is as he takes on the major bosses of SC3. Ben even manages to succeed in a little button-pressing action sequence. Hurray!

Soul Calibur 4: Partial Story Mode as Darth Vader

That’s right. What better way to transition into our first ever SC4 sample than that last one, eh? This one was sent by Orin, who decided to show us a little bit of SC4’s kinda cool, though mostly disappointing story mode as the PS3 version’s bonus character, Darth Vader. Yes, it is that Darth Vader. The one on all that Star Wars merchandise you spent so much money on. Alright, alright. Calm down. See how Orin does in these few battles!

Soul Calibur 2: Playing as Nightmare: From Asteroth onwards

What can be said? Ben sent me more SC2 pummellage. Enjoy said pummelage!

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams: Sample 3

So apparently, I forgot about this one too, somewhere along the pipeline. Cause uh, that last SC2 sample should’ve been in the previous update. Woopsies. Uh, so yeah. Clement. Onimusha. Anime swords. What else is there to say? Seriously, though, it’s good stuff.

Pirates of the Caribbean

This sample was sent in by Mat. Ya know, that Mat who did that totally rockin Fable sample? Yeah. That Mat. Well, this sample is also rockin, and even features Johny Dep! It’s Pirates of the Caribbean, and it’s the PC version, and it’s right here. So listen, and oooo and aaaah where appropriate.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Sample 1

This is a pretty highly anticipated game by Star Wars fans, and while this sample proves that the game is not entirely accessible, there is some hacking, slashing, and death going around. Not always necessarily the death of the enemies, but ya know. Most of the time.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Sample 2

This one’s… bigger. And consequently, longer. So, like, listen and stuff.

Soul Calibur IV: Playing as the Apprentice

And speaking of the Force Unleashed, we find that game’s main character in… another game. Most noteably this game, Soul Calibur 4. Man, he’s in a lot of good games. Listen as Clement owns just about everyone and everything, cause man, that Apprentice is powerful.

Soul Calibur IV: Playing as Tira Soul Calibur IV: Playing as Nightmare

Both of the preceeding samples demonstrate very well the owning power of Clement. And a little of the dying power, which is rather extensive. In short, though, that’s why there isn’t a note about each of them. It should be noted, however, that Clement manages a very difficult, and very rare, SC4 finishing move in the Nightmare sample. That’s something to hear, let me tell ya.

Genji: Dawn of the Samurai

A prequel to Days of the Blade for the PS3, this PS2 game really does hold its own, even in a direct comparison. Its audio during gameplay, and sometimes during cut scenes is very animelike, but it’s definitely not bad. Enjoy.

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 1: Part 1

Oh yes. It’s been long-awaited, it’s been much anticipated, and it’s finally here. Soren has presented us with samples of this truly stunning game. Listen to the fantastic audio effects. The incredible voice acting. It’s great, and Soren demonstrates just about the perfect moments one can see in the game without spoiling too much.

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 1: Part 5

A bit later in the game, this particular sample demonstrates a very important, and very awesome moment. Check it out.

Marvel Superheroes versus Streetfighter

Ah, this game. An oldy, but a real goody. I loved this game back in the day, and I still do, really. This sample brings back memories.

Marvel Versus Capcom

And another clasic in the same vain, made by the same company, Marvel versus Capcom has a slightly different character roster. But it’s still totally rockin!

Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe: Sample 1

That’s right. Only two days after its launch, we’ve got a sample of MK versus DC. And if you’ve listened to the other MK samples here, and maybe haven’t yet heard any audio from this one, you’ll be amazed at how much the audio has improved. This sample was sent by Orin, and shows a little of practice mode, arcade, and story mode, which I personally really like. I will say this, though. You may wish to fast forward the first few minutes, and for a while a bit later on, unless you really, really like that music. Orin was trying to get something set up while he recorded this, and he started the recording before that was finished. So for a time, the main menu music plays alone. Overall though, great sample, Orin.

Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe: MK Story Completion (last two battles): Very Easy

Ben brings us a sample in which he totally owns! He totally dominates! He totally rocks! Er… Wait. It’s on very easy. Right. Ahem. Ben does some fighting. Yeah. And he actually gets rocked a few times by the boss. But beware. This sample will pull your spoiler muscle. The end is very, very, very audible here.

UFC Undisputed 2009

This game, as of the time this sample is being posted, has not yet been released. How did we get a sample? Are we really that cool? Uh… No. Sorry. This, uh, this is a sample of… the demo. But ya know what? It’s still freakin awesome! This one’s from Ben, and he’s playing as the character whose name I couldn’t hope to spell. He loses, but this sample truly is quite impressive. Enjoy!

Marvel Versus Capcom 2

Goodness, look at how totally awesome I am. I went from giving you all a sample of a game that wasn’t yet released to giving you a sample of a game that both is, and is not released at the same time! Yeah! I rule! The fact that this sample was sent by Clement has no bearing whatsoever on my awesomeness. Or his. Yeah. Anyway, listen in on some six-man tag team marvel capcom action here as we present you with an early sample of the soon-to-be-rereleased Marvel Versus Capcom 2. Enjoy!

Street Fighter IV: Playing as Gen

The speech is Japanese, there is at least one loss, yep, this must be a Clement sample. Clement plays as Gen in the still relatively new Street Fighter 4, which is quite a fun game. I urge you all to check it out if you’ve not yet done so.

Street Fighter IV: Playing as Gouken

Like woe. One of the toughest characters in the game to unlock! He can’t possibly be similar to any other characters, right? He has to be different. He has to possess his own, unique set of moves. What? No? Ah well, he still owns… until Clement gets too comfy. Enjoy this Street Fighter IV sample as well.

Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe: Online Play 1

Yep, this here’s a sample of Clement and myself playing MK versus DCU online together. And the best part is, there’s a pretty easy way to tell which one of us is which character. I always use random select, cause ya know, I’m good with everybody, and Clement uses strict, very few people select, cause he’s not. But then, I have my flaws as well. They call me Mr. Two Fatalities. Yep, and ya don’t even get to see one of ’em here. But you do get to hear both of Deathstroke’s. And yes, while Clement is very good with Deathstroke, he loses just as much as he wins. Talk about evenly matched. I have only one regret. I don’t like Katana, but I end up playing as her twice. Waaaaah.

Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe: Online Play 2

And here’s another one! Same pair of people, different day, slightly different characters. Clement maintains his Deathstroke obsession, and I show you just how cheap Kano and Subzero can be. Specifically at the end, where we encounter a bit of a glitch. You see, Clement’s Deathstroke character somehow ends up off screen here, and so he simply cannot hit me at all, no matter what he does. Fortunately, Subzero’s ice nugget attack comes to the rescue, as it, like, never misses, apparently even when the opponent cannot be seen. So no, I won’t be mean. I won’t say that this counts as a flawless victory. I won’t say that, because Clement’s my friend. Great job on continuing to try to shoot me though, Clement.

NHL 08

Here’s a sample that should’ve been posted a long time ago. A really, really long time ago, actually. Like, the next iteration of this series is already out, but here I am posting this one. Yeah. Sorry. Anyway, this one came to me from Liam, and is a great example of the fast pace of this game. Their lead commentator, though, used to do the Tripple Plya games, and I still think of him that way, which is a bit weird. But not so weird that you shouldn’t enjoy this sample, so do so!

Kengo: Legend of the Nine

This is one of them samples that sounds like it’s straight out of Japan. Yes, we had Clement, our senior death expert, fly out just so he could… Alright, alright, fine. That didn’t happen. What did happen is that Clement gave us another sample of sword-swinging, head-popping action, and it’s in Japanese, just like his samples always are. Well, OK, not all of them. Enjoy the overexagerated footsteps, screams, and over the top slashing sounds as well. Woops. Did I spoil it?

Samurai Showdown VI

More stomach-stabbing, got-goring, face-flaking action here delivered by Clement. What more really needs to be said? It’s a game with Samurai in it, and it involves some kind of showdown… For the sixth time, apparently. Enjoy!

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 2: Part 2 Heavenly Sword: Chapter 2: Part 4 Heavenly Sword: Chapter 2: Parts 8 and 9 Heavenly Sword: Chapter 3: Part 6 Heavenly Sword: Chapter 3: Parts 10 and 11

The preceeding five samples are all samples of the super awesome, recently demoed game known as Heavenly Sword. These samples were sent in by the team of Clement and Soren, and demonstrate some of the awesome moments in this game all in stereo, including part of the battle with Whiptale that was shown in the demo. Do enjoy all of these.

Sengoku Basara X

Ya know, I wonder something. Are we ever going to run out of sword-swinging, anime-sounding, English-speaking-in-a-Japanese-game-fight announcing, Clement samples? I vote no! Good for content flow, right? Well, here’s another one. This one seems to play a bit like some of the Street Fighter games, with what sound like super combos and things, but keep in mind I haven’t played this particular game. And don’t worry, there are some Clement losses in there to keep you fans happy.

Devil May Cry 4 Devil May Cry 4: Bloody Palace: Playing as Dante Devil May Cry 4: Bloody Palace: Playing as Nero

The preceeding samples, as if the links didn’t tell you, are all of the astoundingly popular, and apparently quite good, game known as Devil May Cry 4. Yes, more blood, guts, screams of agony, slashes, guns, ya know, the usual fixtures of brandoncole.net. Here’s a little note, though. If you get this game for the PS3 after hearing its samples, don’t worry, the game is not frozen after you first start it up. It’s got… a twenty minute… install. Aaaaah!

Bleach Blade Battlers: Mission Mode: Playing as Renji

Yes, another one. This one, though, either has a whole lot of dudes that sound the same, or some really, horrifyingly long fights. Like, almost too long. So long, I find myself quivering in fear. Oh, and am I the only one who thinks Clement’s character sounds like Link from the Zelda series?

Watchman: The End is Nigh

This is a little game that can be found both on Xbox live Arcade, and on the Playstation Network for $20. But hey, for a $20 game, it seems pretty awesome to me. It’s a beat-em-up, and we love those things. It’s mindless, face-crunching, skull-bashing fun, all presented by Clement. Enjoy!

Samurai Showdown: Anthology

Oh yes. If you’ve been following my email list, you knew this one was coming. Clement demonstrates three of the Samurai Showdown games in this sample. Theses are all on the same disc, of course, and apparently very easily accessed based on how fast he switches between them. Anyway, it’s more of the same pain and death you’re used to. Enjoy that!

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 5: Part 3

Clement demonstrates this particular part of the game primarily because it may be the closest thing to rival the monstrous opening level. There are enemies everywhere, even after Clement moes some down with a cannon. There are so many enemies, in fact, that Clement upholds his reputation!

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 6: Part 2

Alright. Now, beware, folks. This can be considered minor spoilage. Not too much, mind, but this is a sample of the final boss fight in the game. And the fact that Clement dies, well, that just makes it all the better, doesn’t it? Less to… ya know… spoil?

Bionic Commando Rearmed: Demo

So this game was, I believe, for the NES in its hayday, but it has now been recreated for next gen consoles. Does it hold up? Find out as Clement discovers that this game may not be so unplayable after all. Oooo!

Megaman X: Command Mission

A new sample-poster, a guy that goes by the name of Stirlock, leaps into the fray with this sample of Megaman X, a Megaman RPG which he says is barely playable, but in which the battles are most fun indeed. And I’ll give him this, they sound like it, nevermind the fact that the voice actors are subpar. Funny thing is, though, the best actor in the bunch appears to be one of the supporting characters. Ah well, ya take the jobs you can get.

Bloody Roar: Primal Fury

This is another sample submitted by Stirlock. What makes this fighting game unique, as you will hear almost immediately upon listening to it, is that each character is able to transform into a particular animal. Cool, isn’t it? Though, given that one of them sounds like a housecat, well, just listen, I say.

Fight Night Round 4: Playing as Manny

In the spirit of E3 2009, which is going on as this sample is being posted, here’s one of a game that hasn’t been released as of yet. Of course, this sample is one of the demo of this game, but I’ll tell you this. It already sounds better than its predecessors. The ring announcer seems a bit lacking, but other than that I think we’ve got a better experience on our hands. Listen to this tremendous fight, and enjoy every impact.

Capcom Bowling

This is a bowling game by Capcom, and it’s old. Like, really really old. Its highest quality sounds are the pins falling, which given the sport and the time period is probably a good idea. This one is brought to you by Liam, and I believe can be found in the Capcom Clasics Collection.

Neo Geo Battle Coliseum

Seriously, do these things even need descriptions anymore? Clement fighting, blah blah blah, anime sounds, blah blah blah, Japanese acting, blah blah blah, Clement dying, blah blah blah. That’s it. I did notice that one of the characters reminds me of Samurai Showdown though. Coincidence? I think not!

UFC 2009 Demo: Sample 2

Ben’s back with a brand new sample of UFC 2009. Yes, it’s a sample of the demo again, but this time at least, I know who he’s playing as. Ben plays Shogun in this tremendous one-round battle between him and Chuck Lidel. Pay attention, and look for the glitch in the commentary during this fight.

Super Smash Brothers; Melee

Another sample from Stirlock, this sample will make you say “Holy Metal Mario!” It’s a fantastic sample that shows us, like, everything in the game. A complete arcade playthrough, and some other game modes as well. It’s clasic Nintendo fun, so check it out!

Bleach Blade Battlers: Four Way Battle as Aizen

You wanted more Bleach? No? Well ya got some anyway. Clement brings us another epic four-way battle in this imported game. Oh, and he dies twice. All in all, a good sample.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Clement struggles a bit here, as this is apparently his first time ever playing this game… (Awesome time to send in a sample, right)? But the point is, he very accurately demonstrates the awesomeness of the game, not that that’s difficult with the cutscene-infused goodness, it’s music, its audio presentation, it’s just a lovely thing. Do enjoy it. I already know you will.

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike

So I guess you could call this Street Fighter IV’s direct predecessor. As you will hear in this sample, there certainly is a difference between this and Street Fighter IV. Almost a generation gap. Like woe. Anyway, Clement does some winning, some losing, and a few super and ultra moves to show off, er, I mean show us how much fun this game can be even to this day.

Super Street Fighter IV: Clement VS Yohandy

Speaking of Street Fighter though, let’s jump to the present, and give you an awesome sample of Clement and Yohandy going at it in one on one fighting action. Both these dudes are pretty good, and you’re gonna hear some ultra trading, some death and pain on both sides, and a good time will be had by all. You may also notice the lack of lag in this sample, and lag can bleed through to audio samples if it’s bad enough. Whatever SSFIV does to handle network connections though is brilliant, and there is virtually no lag at all. Great stuff!

Karaoke Revolution

This sample comes from Aaron, one who hasn’t posted too often here, but has done so a few times before. He demonstrates this, the latest in the Karaoke Revolution series, and he starts off by going through pretty much the entire track list. This is good, because this reassures me that Karaoke Revolution is no longer a series that does a whole bunch of covers for the music they put in. Seems all original. Oh, and yeah, Aaron does get around to singing a song as well. Doesn’t do all that bad either.

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger: Story mode as Ragna

Clement took it upon himself to demonstrate one of the most awesome fighting games that currently exists, at least in my oh-so-humble opinion. One of the few where the English voice acting’s not bad, and by golly, there’s a lot of it. Each character has a story all their own with alternate endings to each, and there’s a final, true ending, as well as some bonus content. Clement demonstrates story mode here with the guy you could call the game’s main protagonist, Ragna. It ends… Well, I won’t spoil it. Suffice it to say I’m not surprised. Enjoy!

Heavenly Sword: Chapter 5: Parts 2 and 3: Spanish Language

I don’t know what more I can say. It’s heavenly Sword, it’s Spanish, and man, it still sounds awesome. Yay Heavenly Sword! Enjoy, especially if you can speak the language. Guitar Hero 5: Muse: Plugin Baby: Vocals

This sample’s from Ben, as you can totally tell when it begins. Plus, it’s a song by Muse, which automatically means it’s gonna be a little weird. But that’s not all. Remarkably, Ben manages to get a grand total of 5 trophies throughout the course of the song. Two during, and three after. Like woe! Go Ben, and stuff!

Darkstalkers: Chronicle

Capcom and Clement, or should I say Clement and Capcom, bring you Darkstalkers: Chronicle. It’s a game very much like Street Fighter, but with crazy supernatural element thingies. I mean, crazier than Street Fighter. We’re talkin vampires and that sort of thing. Sounds neat, all the same. Enjoy!

Street Fighter IV: Playing as Seth

And speaking of games that are like Street Fighter, well, here’s Street Fighter, which as it happens is a whole lot like Street Fighter. Oh, this is Street Fighter 4, and Clement plays as Seth. The language track is set to Japanese, a trademark that lets us all know who submitted this one. Enjoy!

Def Jam: Fight for New York

Believe it or not, this here’s one of my absolute favorite PS2 fighting games. It’s got great audio for its time, it’s brutal, there are lots of broken bones and fantastic, over-the-top moves, and the story, believe it or not, manages to be kinda decent despite how totally odd it is. This sample doesn’t show us the story, but it does show us a couple of bone-breaking, floor-shaking, crowd-pleasing matches. Enjoy this awesome game!

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock: Foo Fighters: No Way Back

Here’s a bit of Warriors of Rock in stereo, brought to you by the one, the only Ben. Best yet, it’s a Voxtar sample. Ben both sings, and plays the guitar, and gets decent scores on both. Awesome stuff, man.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock: Quest Mode as Echo Tesla

Here’s a stereo sample of GH6’s quest mode. This shows a part of the quest demonstrated in Aaron’s demo, but again, relatively high-quality stereo, and Ben vocals. These things serve to make it sufficiently different that you may wish to check this out.

Street Fighter IV: Playing as Rufus

What? Another Street Fighter IV sample? But… but that game’s old, and we have Super Street Fighter IV samples up already! Brandon, why would you do such a thing? Well, to put it simply, I um, well, I um, you see, what happened was… So this is a sample done by Liam, where he demonstrates Rufus’s entire arcade. Everything from his ugly opening, to his rough and tumble rivalry battle, to his kinda funny ending, it’s all here. Be warned, there is fighting, some of which is, like, in the street.

Tekken 6: Arcade Mode: Playing as Lars

You know how you can tell this is a Clement sample? Because it ends with his death. That’s right, Clement shows us Tekken 6 in arcade mode, and he almost, almost gets all the way through it. Man, if only he didn’t have to fight that final boss… Ah well, enjoy!

Super Street Fighter IV: Playing as Guy on Hard difficulty

You know how you can tell this is a Clement sample? Because it ends with his death. Wait, uh, didn’t I just use that line? Ah well, it still holds true. You get to see almost an entire playthrough as Guy, complete with rival fight and boss battle, but see, he loses the boss battle. More than once. Yeah. Oh, and the battle audio is set to Japanese. Still, it’s yet another good SSFIV sampling.

NBA Live 09: PSP version: Italy versus USA: Playing as Italy

This here’s a sample from a brand new sample poster person guy thing. His name’s Claudio, and if he is to be believed, he plays as Italy in this spectacular game. I say spectacular, because he plays spectacularly. I’m tellin ya, if this game’s playable, I just might throw down and pick it up.

Blaz Blue: Calamity Trigger: Story Mode as TaoKaka

This here guy’s another new sample poster guy person, and he hits us with a big one. Oh sure, we have a sample of Blazblue here already, but what’s this? Notice the lower audio quality of the sound effects during fights? The slightly shorter load times? This is Blaz Blue for the PSP, and guess what? It’s all here. The story is presented just as it is in other versions of the game, and this one’s a prime, hilarious example of that. Who better than Tao? Nobody, I tell you. Nobody!

Deadliest Warrior: Playing as the Samurai

This is a newish sort of game, for the PSN and XBLA sampled by, of course, Clement. As expected, it contains some death on Clement’s side, but to be fair, it contains some pretty brutal death on the enemy side as well, and yes, that includes poor defenseless little piggies. You’ll understand. Maybe. Anyway, enjoy!

Fate: Unlimited Codes: Playing as Archer

This one of course comes from Clement. A Japanese game with the expected Japanese audio, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in this case. Seems like a neat, fun little fighting game, and Clement still dies in it, so it must be alright. Enjoy!

Mortal Kombat 9: Liam Playing as Striker

That’s right, folks, a sample of the very awesome, undenyably beautiful, Mortal Kombat 9. In case you’re reading this later on, this sample is being presented to you on the release date of the game in question. This one’s brought to you by Liam. He plays as Striker, a cop with ultraviolent tendancies. He demonstrates some moves, and even some fatalities. He even gets 1 fatality performed upon him. Woops. Also, it should be noted for those who don’t like any spoiler of any kind, that Striker’s arcade ending is shown here. Beware if you’re that type of person, but otherwise, just enjoy. Enjoy the bloodiest, goriest, craziest, zaniest audio you’ve ever heard. Enjoy Mortal Kombat 9!

MLB 11: The Show: Small Sample

If you like baseball, you’ll love this game. The MLB series has been called the greatest baseball simulation for years, and this game proves that it still is. Here is a small sample of the game, just over an inning of play, but I feel it’s enough to appreciate some of its nuances.

MLB 11: The Show: Full Game: Twins Vs. Yankies: Playing as Twins

Now here’s what I really, really want you to listen to. The small sample is there for those who don’t have the time to take this in, but this, folks, is a full and complete game of baseball. Nine innings of me playing as the Minnesota Twins against the New York Yankies. Yeah, let’s not miss that bit. This sample comes from me. Me, I tell you! In any case, this shows off a ton more, like how there are stadium-specific details, (listen to what happens when the Yankies hit a home run or get a strikeout, for instance), how the commentary will give you even the little bits of information they don’t necessarily have to, and so on. There’s so much here, I can’t talk about it all, but I’ll tell you this. If you’re at all into baseball, this sample will make you feel the intensity as if you were watching a real baseball game. I strongly urge you to check it out.

You Don’t Know Jack: PS3 Sample

Like trivia? Like jokes? No seriously, do you really like jokes? Jokes that cover all subjects, and span almost all possible levels of unclenliness? Well, if the answer is yes, I present you with You Don’t Know Jack, a game that seamlessly combines both, and is almost, almost, almost completely accessible to the blind. All but the Jack Attack, which while unfortunate, is an acceptible loss in my opinion. This is a sample of one game of the Playstation 3 version, which is exactly like the Xbox 360 version in every way. It should be noted that the PC version of this game is somewhat crippled compared to the console versions, though.

You Don’t Know Jack: IOS version

Yep, this lovely little trivia game came out for everything, including IOS devices. My first impression of the IOS version was unfavorable, and I thought it was near unplayable. However, once I got educated as to how things were laid out, I found it to be just about as playable as the other versions of the game. Occasionally you might miss your mark wen trying to press in the right spot, which I do once in this sample, but other than that it’s almost the complete You Don’t Know Jack experience, lacking just Wrong Answers of the Game and their associated prizes as well as multiplayer. It’s highly enjoyable, and cheap, so if you have one such device, i highly recommend giving this game a try.

Mortal Kombat 9: Yohandy versus CPU: Arcade playing as Scorpion: Max difficulty

Folks, Yohandy is really, really, really good at this game. Don’t believe me? Let him prove it to you as he stomps his way… Er, that is, burns his way through the Mortal Kombat roster with everyone’s favorite Spectre… Unless of course you’re a Mass Effect fan, but that’s entirely different, so… Anyway, yeah. This is awesome, so listen to it. That’s final.

This sample I’m posting for 2 reasons. Firstly, because I wanted to post a better example of a blind person playing this game. A few settings have been changed from the first posting to the second, and because of those, things are a bit more manageable. Secondly, I received a response following the posting of the first full game, a positive one, no less, and so thought I’d post another for that reason as well. Enjoy!

MLB11: The Show: Road to the Show Sample

Yes, another MLB11 sample. This will be the last one, unless for some reason someone wants another full game or something. This sample, though, demonstrates the MLB Road to the Show mode which, while requiring sighted assistance to set up, is quite playable afterward. In this mode, you create a single player, and follow their career from minor leagues to majors. Notice, whilst you listen to this, that MLB11 is particularly good with names.

Mortal Kombat 9: Playing as Freddy Krueger: Arcade Sample

This sample comes to us from Ben, who some of you know as the Destroyer. The poster of those funky, keyboard-laced Rock Band samples, and more recently, Guitar Hero 6. This his an arcade playthrough as Freddy Krueger, one of MK9’s DLC offerings. It’s bloody, violent, and marked with more than a few Freddy deaths. But hey, that’s actually pretty normal for him, isn’t it?

Space Channel 5: Story Mode Playthrough

This sample is one of a good old game called Space Channel 5. It was on the PS2 and, I believe, the Dreamcast back in its time, and is quite a funn little game if you’re a blind person. Music rhythm is the genre, and those have always treated us well. This sample is presented by Soren Jensen, and fair warning, it appears to contain the entire story mode of that game, which is actually amazingly short. I could be wrong, as I don’t have this particular game myself, but he seems to restart the same exact story at the end of the sample, so I assume I’ve got this right. Of course, everyone knows what making assumptions is good for… Ah well. Enjoy, and grab Space Channel 5 part 2, which is available on Xbox live right now.

Fight Night Champion: Chamion Mode Sample 1

This is a sample of, so far, the best boxing game ever created. It’s got a fantastic story, phenominal acting, great commentary, and fun gameplay. This sample demonstrates champion mode, which is in effect its storymode. Now, I recorded this at a time when I felt rushed, so I attempted to rush through some of these fights. It costs me. I also fail to get up the first time I have to play the knockdown minigame, which is the first thing that happens in the sample as sort of a tutorial to show you what you’ll have to do. Still, this sample is a decent demonstration. I will post a sample demonstrating more of the story if there are requests for one.

Resident Evil 6

Folks, this sample introduces a new contributor to the Blind Gamer ranks. His name is Bruno Broiero, and he has reminded me of the version of myself that tried Fable, and got through its entire introductory sequence. This guy’s a fantastic gamer, no question, and this is just the first sample that proves it. Listen as this guy begins his playthrough of Resident Evil 6 on his own. He’s figured out some tricks to make this game work, and it does so surprisingly well. If you don’t have this game yet, this sample may make you want it. Of course, it’s only fair to say it contains spoilers, as it entirely involves the game’s story mode.

Resident Evil 6: Chris Campaign Gameplay

Here is yet another Resident Evil 6 sample from Bruno, this one demonstrating another one of the game’s 4 story ccampaigns. Who would’ve thought this game might be playable? Well, Bruno did, and he does it here. Congratulations, Bruno!
Resident Evil 5

So you may have been thinking, “Hey, it’s great that Resident Evil 6 is playable and all, but it’s kinda the most recent one.
